EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE

An event to celebrate and open access to the teaching of math and science in primary school

Tim O'Reilly
Keynote by Tim O'Reilly

MC'd by Stephanie Martin

To prepare our children for the future we need to nurture their sense of wonder about the world and give them the tools to explore that world and make it a better place.

Join the Alta Vista School community for our second annual benefit to raise awareness of our mission to prepare children to succeed in a global marketplace and support our Education Access Fund, a need-based aid fund that represents 10% of our operating budget to ensure access to our school for families in our community.

The event is intended to encourage attendees to support not just Alta Vista School but all efforts at ensuring that the next generation is prepared to innovate, compete, and thrive in a global community.

Alta Vista School

Founded in 2010, Alta Vista School is an independent K-8 school focusing on science, math, and technology from the earliest grades. We are guided by a shared vision and passion for educating children in ways that help them grow dynamically. While many schools focus on data, our focus is on providing students with a vigorous, interactive approach that engages their imagination and nourishes their curiosity, while providing the stimulation and tools to solve problems and think effectively. Our discovery-based learning approach helps children learn “how to think” not “what to think,” and our approach to science, math and technology is integrated throughout a rich curriculum that includes arts, public speaking, social responsibility, music and other enrichment areas.
